ceramic implants

Implantology at Dental IQ

A healthy, vital natural tooth is always better than an artificial tooth root, i.e. an implant. That is why we always try to save your natural teeth. However, if a tooth is missing or needs to be removed, an implant is a very good and predictable form of treatment. In our practice, we can predictably treat almost any jaw situation with implants using the appropriate methods. “It can’t be done” is now a rare occurrence and depends on the skill and expertise of the practitioner.

Ceramic implants

We favor one-piece ceramic implants. They are scientifically well established and have several advantages over titanium implants:

Ceramic implants are metal-free

Ceramic is a biological material

The gum at the exit point of the ceramic implant fuses with the ceramic, forming an immunological seal.

Unlike titanium implants, ceramic implants do not suffer from corrosion and the associated peri-implant inflammation.

We remove the tooth, including the source of inflammation, and replace the natural tooth root with a ceramic root, which is immediately fitted with a crown.

Digitally planned and navigated implant surgery

The implant surgery is first planned and simulated digitally. In very difficult and complex cases, a 3-dimensional drilling template for navigated implant surgery can then be prepared in advance.

bone formation

A tooth puts functional strain on the jawbone. Tooth loss leads to bone loss (inactivity atrophy). We use modern techniques to avoid extensive bone augmentation. In cases of larger bone defects, we can rebuild the bone in a targeted manner to ensure optimal implant positioning.
